The Best Props for Photography and Content Creation
One of the questions we get asked the most is what photography equipment we recommend for content creation and stop motion videos. And while we’re quick to recommend our favorite gear, there’s one part everyone always forgets to ask about: what’s in front of the camera.
When it comes to props and backgrounds, the world is your oyster. Anything and everything can be used to add a little spice to your content creation. We think using props is especially helpful for brands that sell only one kind of product— it’ll help make content creation more unique and creative, even if the product itself is the same!
We love looking for cool props, and we found some really cute ones on Amazon that we think you’d like!
Here are all of the cutest photography props as found on Amazon.
Bead Garlands
Bead garlands are a great way to bring an organic or rustic feel into your content. They’re great inside of products (such as mugs or bowls), on a spread, or anywhere you can think to stick them!
Potted plants
Greenery is so important for bringing a little life into your photography. The best part? These potted plants are artificial, which means they’ll never dry out.
Eucalyptus Leaves
Much like the potted plants, eucalyptus is so important for bringing some life into your short. Eucalyptus is one of the most popular types of foliage, but anything will work. Eucalyptus just lasts a long time and remains vibrant in color even when it dries out, which is why it’s our fave!
Irregular Mirror
This cool irregular mirror will bump up the creativity in any shot. You can take photos through the mirror (as seen on the righthand photos) or detach the mirror from the base and use it as a reflective tray for overhead shots
Rattan tray
We love trays for flat lays, overhead shots, and just to add some height to a shot! Rattan is gorgeous, which is why we love this particular tray.
Crystal Spheres
Aside from the fact that they add a cool ✨ mystique ✨ to your shot, clear glass spheres can reflect natural lighting in a super cool way!
Acrylic hearts
We love these little acrylic hearts for a pop of color, and the clear ones make for subtle accents in photos.
Candles
Tapered candles are becoming popular right now, and understandably so, as they’re beautiful and elegant.
We also love tea light candles, as they’re tiny! These ones are artificial, which is great if you are worried about lighting a fire or just accidentally blowing out the flame.
Acrylic boxes and stands
Traditionally used for storage (such as makeup), acrylic boxes make great display stands and can add height or dimension to a shot without taking away the focus.
Dried florals
Much like greenery, dried florals add some life to your shots —but this time, with more color. We like lavender mostly because of how nice it smells as we shoot, but any dried floral works great!
Posing beans
these “posing beans” are traditionally used for posing babies for newborn photoshoots. But, they can be used to prop anything up —baby or otherwise, and come in subtle earth tones.
