We’ve made it through Thanksgiving, which means only one thing: it’s time to go into 🎄 FULL CHRISTMAS MODE 🎄. This year, we’re head-over-heels in love with Elf on the Shelf. We love the whimsical content, the fun ideas, and most of all, the chance to stretch our creativity even during a gloomy season!
As part of our themed holiday content, we’re bringing you countless tutorials on how to successfully bring your Elf to life through stop motion, using our app, Life Lapse! We love using stop motion to expand the world of Elf on the Shelf ideas, and to make infinitely more creative Elf on the Shelf scenarios!

What You’ll Need:
iPhone or Android with our app, Life Lapse
Tripod or DIY tripod
Elf on the Shelf, of course!
Props: in this case, cookies and chocolate chips
Step 1: Set up your Elf on the edge of the first cookie. Adjust exposure and white balance, and then lock them to ensure a smooth stop motion video. Take a photo!
Step 2: Add one chocolate chip to the cookie, and take a photo. Add another chip, and take a photo. Add the third chip and take another photo!
Step 3: Move Elf to the next cookie, and take a photo. Repeat step 2.
Step 4: Continue until Elf has made it through all of the cookies!
Step 5: Launch the editor and make any adjustments you would like! Add filters, change brightness, and so forth.
