Who’s that we see? Oh, it’s our Elf on the Shelf, of course! As December comes closer and closer, we’re so certain that even the most mischievous of elves need a little break. And if moms and dads love a little spa day rest, why wouldn’t Elf?
In the tutorial below, we will teach you how to create a stop motion video of your Elf having a bubble bath! It’s so cute, and will amaze your kids! Plus, it’s an easy one— plenty of time will be left after for you to indulge in a little self-care of your own. 🛀
When it comes to Elf on the Shelf, we are such big fans of Elf on the Shelf stop motion content, as it is a unique way to bring Elf to life! Using Life Lapse, you can instill some Christmas magic into those cold December mornings!
What you’ll need:
iPhone or Android with our app, Life Lapse
Tripod or DIY tripod
Elf on the Shelf, of course!
Props: in this case, marshmallows and candles
Step 1: Begin with an empty frame. Adjust white balance and exposure, and begin taking photos.
Step 2: Slowly slide Elf into frame, along the sink edge. Take photos in between each movement. Move elf into the sink fully.
Step 3: Frame by frame, gradually add marshmallows to make a marshmallow bath. Take photos in between each change.
Step 4: Once the bath is filled with marshmallows, begin sliding the candles in, taking photos between frames.
Step 5: Light each candle one by one, taking a photo between each one. Slowly dim your lights and take photos in between, to set the mood. Take a few photos at the end to show candle flame movement.
Step 6: Launch the editor, and make any adjustments you would like.
